For the Trump Epstein File ballroom...not sure of the all the state regs, but contractors who worked without permits may have violated rules that could cost them their business and mechanical licenses..If someone complained to licensing boards about who destroyed the White House East Wing.

Well, no one said democracy is cost efficient. Besides, the councilman could take his job weeks before Dec 1, putting even more of his term at stake in a special election. This is council's game plan to avoid a popular mandate for its new member when it could easily have one. That is concerning.

People out in Takoma Park MD for No Kings. It's good to see folks out, but I just want to see effective protest, with a focus or, at least, difference. Same crowds, same places. The only news is if the crowd size is bigger than the last and that's about it. erichensal.substack.com/p/no-kings-i...

McD is harder to explain, but a great focus. How many McDs will a person pass to protest today? Spread 1 protest worth of folks across 100 sites, and that'd be remarkable. Make our problem a problem for those who can get Johnson on the phone. He only feels Trump pressure now. That must change.

They are mostly dramatic to gin up their base, and some are spoiling for violence. But the numbers and places we turn out are still just dem base voters. That is why protests need a focus for pressure. We don't have sheer numbers to move the needle right now e.g. ACA.
