Anyone remember the train service that was kept running in Japan when they learned that ONE student depended on it to get to college? She was its only passenger. It was only shut down when she graduated 4 years later.
When the poll results come very close to actual election results consistently as this particular polling company's do it becomes fact. It doesn't mean Reform will win in 4 years. It means it well could if there was a GE right now.
I didnt write the Nolan Principles you absolute tool. I just know what they are. If you want entertaining politics watch a sitting of the Australian parliament where there are no such rules and the gloves are off. Now THAT'S fun.
I'm talking about YouGov's past polls. They have consistently been the closest to accurate election results. It is disturbing to put it mildly to see them polling so high but there's a long way to go yet. Given how many scumbag councillors they're losing there's plenty of hope.
Fear of the unknown more like. Though why it's necessary to personally know a bunch of foreigners to recognise that they are people just like anybody else is a mystery to me.
Completely agree. Both parts of the name, United and Kingdom need to go. It's not a union, it's colonialism under a politically correct name. And as for the king - dont get me started.😆 I'm not a royalist either in case you hadn't guessed.
"Misleading" is the acceptable parliamentary term for someone who is lying through their teeth. "Discriminatory" is the term for racism. "Racist" and "Liar" are personal attacks which are not ok in the House. You can rip into what they say but not them. Got it?
Regarding YouGov's relative accuracy - it's not opinion. It's a fact. I shared your scepticism about them until I looked into it. The thing I can't work out about any poll is how they influence voters. Do people look at them and think 'Ooh, Reform (or whoever) are popular. I'll vote for them then'
The facts of their results being consistently accurate however speak for themselves. Labour have time for the results of their policies to be felt. All they are lacking is a charismatic spokesperson. Let's see what the polls are saying in '29.
