From someone with no MTG experience, and probably a very naive question but genuinely curious, how do you “art direct” a card? Such as, is it in deciding what parts overlap the graphic elements, or is it making sure all the art ebbs and flows together?

I've been playing Hollow Knight and it has certainly rubbed off on my character design here. As a lover of bugs, the art and creatures in it are wonderful! I want to finish the first game before moving on to Silksong. The prompts for these were bugs, veggie, gem, weather, and mushroom!
