It would be interesting if feeds could provide a way to notify or log when your posts end up in them, in a way that the UI could show to users “feeds I’m visible in” and allow them to block feeds they find there. Allows for opting out, feed discovery, and a defense against malicious feeds.
Also something to be said about attention in terms of availability of new content. New games don’t release as fast as new videos, and new videos are free but new games are $70-90, which I think is why free to play games like roblox or fortnite dominate younger audiences. Often new stuff to do, free
I think that’s fair but I don’t think he understands what to actually do about this to make gaming better. They will lean “make short form half video game half show” rather than “make good new IPs instead of another halo remake”
They like shorts more because they are current, relevant, and for them.
Somebody fire this guy
Not sure how to fix the first issue without privately shared data / locked accounts. Because any kind of public label could definitely be used against them, say a feed made specifically to show users who want to be hidden from for you.
Maybe something could be implemented to base on following info? Like accounts who want to stay private can have a label or dm you, then they aren’t shown on the for you feed except to users that follow them or that they follow?
It is also potentially too broad because now no one can get your posts or recommendations thru for you, even if its your friend who you want to. Kinda sounds like the thing privately shared atproto data is needed for tho.
I think this might unfortunately be too reactionary, in the sense that if you do not know about the feed, you cannot opt out until someone discovers you through it, tells you about it, and then decides to DM. Meaning on avg it takes getting outed once to stop getting outed.
My biggest Apple cope rn is that they called it ios 26 so they can take more time before releasing ios 27 in 2027 instead. They need to man it's gonna be ios 26.5 before this shit is stable

And then *after* you read the entire AI package, just one small request: Stop talking to me about AI for like, at least a few weeks. Please.
The Worst Thing About AI Is That People Can’t Shut Up About It

A @wired.com AI package needs to clear an impossibly high bar.

And by god, I think we've done it. Hours of sensational, thought-provoking, fun reading, and the design is simply dazzling.

WIRED can't predict the future, but we can try to make sense of it. And that's exactly what we're doing here:
AI of a Thousand Faces
What happens now that AI is everywhere and in everything? WIRED can’t tell the future, but we can try to make sense of it. Behold: 17 readings from the furthest reaches of the AI age.

Indeed, I'm seeing a lot of app.bsky.feed.defs#interactionSeen in the For You logs!

With this change released I can clean up a bunch of hacks (based on scrolls and likes) I used to infer seen posts.
Post seen status gets sent to 3rd party feeds now, so For You should show new posts on every refresh!

Everyone say thank you @danabra.mov
v1.109 is rolling out today! #NewProfilePic

ATProto is not Facebook. The entire protocol does not support private data because that's not the way it was designed. They have been working on privately shared data for a while, but it's a complex issue.
TLDR: It's being worked on.
