Perfectly content to see the governor of Texas “impose” a “tariff” on people moving to Texas from New York. I assume the reverse is acceptable as well, right? I mean, in my case, I can’t impose a “tariff” on anything, but I can avoid doing business in or with businesses in Texas, right?

Missing Marathon Day in NYC. From 2001 until 2011 a group of us hung out by the NY Blood Center in LIC handing out kleenex to runners. I think the first year we just bought napkins and tissues at a local store, for the following years I’d do a Costco run and buy several cases of tissues.

Chrome will start defaulting to HTTPS only with version 154. One area that will catch people is that a lot of domain parking sites are HTTP only, another is that many sites redirect their top level domain.‌‌com to www.domain.‌com, they will need to add an SSL instance to catch those redirects.

I keep forgetting that the only point of the Administration is to provoke crises. Provoke as many crises as possible to manifest the perverted “fourth turning”. Eventually someone will respond in such a way that the Administration can justify a ridiculous response.

This thing where news media will remove content from the existing paid subscription into a higher premium tier is annoying and a poor consumer experience. Sending me a notification to my paid subscription for content I can’t access is rancid salt on that wound.

Reading commentary criticizing Signal and Meredith W’ on using AWS which can be summed up as “why can’t the thing I rely on and don’t pay for which doesn’t even have advertising build and run a multi billion dollar infrastructure instead of AWS?”
