Yep, it's been used. So have "criminal", "travelling" etc but they don't do the job either. Just because one meaning of 'criminal' is 'bad', that doesn't mean you can use criminal to mean 'rotting', 'off' & other meanings of 'bad' (legitimate anagram indicators). Same with 'foreign' and 'strange'.
