The garden cross spider waits well hidden (or perhaps not so well?) in a holly bush for its prey. The photo is a close-up of the holly bush. Some leaves are visible in both sharp and blurred focus, displaying the typical shape of this shrub's leaves, with their outer edges adorned with strong spines. An open area in the middle reveals a few legs of a garden cross spider, which is concealed here.

Originally, “Euonymus alatus” comes from East Asia, but it adapts well to the European climate. This one shines brightly next to the #Neuwerkkirche in #Goslar.

The Romanesque church was built around 1200, and the Neuwerk Monastery itself was founded in 1186. A view from above the city of Goslar, photographed from the North Tower of the Market Church. After climbing the numerous steps up the tower, one is rewarded with a marvellous view of the old town with its half-timbered houses. Many of the roofs are covered with slate. The telephoto lens compresses the perspective, making the houses appear very close together in the photograph. Autumn-coloured trees appear here and there between the houses.

In the Jewish Cemetery in Goslar, ivy covers the wall and the gravestones of the eternal graves, forming a dense carpet of time. It is a place of tranquillity.

Uhh, ich muss zugeben, das Foto schon vor einigen Jahren gemacht zu haben und kann das nur aus der Erinnerung sagen. Von einem Ende zum anderen würde ich schätzen: mindestens 3 Meter. Das Weitwinkel verzerrt die Dimensionen, aber das sollte es ja auch.

Ja, das habe ich beim Fotografieren auch gedacht: bizarr und schön. Ich bin froh, dass das Objektiv weitwinkelig genug war, um die ausladenden "Knochen" einzufangen.
