At least satosugu is /a bit/ more substantiated and interesting but the other three are just the unproblematic opposites attract that delusioned themselves into thinking they were the most popular ship and now just whine about their fall from grace.

I think it was meant to be implied he's healed through the support of his classmates. He mentions multiple times how much he's relied on their support as he came into his own

I don't really know if Shoto really wanted that catharsis. Ultimately even though all of his children distanced themselves from him, none of the Todoroki children really wanted Enji dead (even Touya was just directing his neglect in the wrong direction)

Hawks taking over the HSPC is clearly meant to be a sign of better times but it's so minute a detail that it's hard to say what actually comes of that

I never really understood the argument that the hero rankings were to blame for anything? Endeavor, specifically, had his issues with rank but other examples showed it as unambiguously positive to have a tangible show of support from citizens.

I can see that working but I think having them die helps reinforce that spotting and helping the unfortunate should come /before/ they turn into world ending disasters. I miss the league dearly but if they were all fine in the end it would have underminded that call for compassion a bit.

I do agree that they could have made Deku's timeline a lot clearer. We're not sure when he lost his embers, how much of his choice to teach came from his quirklessness, or a lot of the details that went into making his armor.

Shoji is shown to be making strides in the rights for heteromorphs, and Spinner found the ambition he lacked in telling the sympathetic, human side to the league. I know it all goes by quickly but I'm not sure what else they could have done in that respect.

I'm curious what change you want to see. The series tell us by the final chapter that actual crime is drastically decreased, we see the Tomura equivalent Kouki at UA since the public handled his cry for help much differently than Tenko's, Ochako is reforming quirk counsiling for children-

I think the series saying "this world is complicated but everyone is taking what little steps they can to help" is a surprisingly mature ending that doesn't go back on what it set out to do but I can see why people find it unsatisfying

And the entire catalyst for Deku receiving OFA is from trying to be a hero without a quirk. It's not as blatant bc it's not as deeply established in our own cultures but Deku is very loud about breaking this unspoken, widespread, rule in hero society even long before we learn about Tenko

I disagree actually. It's not as obvious since it becomes kind of a moot point but Izuku's main way in breaking from the status quo is helping when he isn't expected to. If you look back, there are plenty of scenes where background extras mention how a villain or diaster isn't their problem

Well- yeah that's kind of the point. Set up the expectation both inside and outside the narrative that this will be a fight that only the worthiest good guy can take on and then pull the curtain back. He actively gets his protag syndrome disproven when he goes rogue and beefs it.
