OMG, thank you for taking a stand against this insanity. I hope you inspire the courage in others to fight against these culture wars, not with their tactics, but with the refusal to participate or stay silent.
I think a lot of people feel betrayed and silly when they find out they've been had, though, and do stop listening. I dropped off Facebook years ago, and my husband is growing more skeptical as he finds these stories are false.
I noticed he voted "for Trump" but blamed "the government." It is the same thing I've heard when farmers rightfully complain about land improvement grants they received that Trump (probably illegally) canceled. "I knew I couldn't trust the government."
I think you are right about half, maybe more of them being duped, but there are some that are evil, or deplorable, if you will. I am the only anti-trumper of my 6 siblings and I promise you only one is deplorable. The others are ignorant of events and/or of civics or history.
People tend to be obsessed with an entity taking 30% of their paycheck. The investor class who aren't paying taxes don't understand that. Throw the bums out.
I absolutely do NOT trust people to “discern” anything right now. Suggest a due process for this, then we can talk about a reasonable punishment. Otherwise, people can accuse you of being a witch for purely selfish reasons and justify violence against you.
I don’t understand what you’re saying here. What does “means test” imply? Keep in mind that fewer than 1/2 of USians voted for this mess, and I bet if we could do it over it would be far less, because some people are starting to wake up to the fact that they were lying.

That's funny. I worked with a woman from Wales who was mortified at the word "fanny". I always thought of her when I lived in Boston and heard an ad for "Frugal Fanny's". Must've sounded about as nice as a store called "Cheap C----" would be to me.
