Honestly I always wondered why in rereleases like this they don't simply take the assets they rendered for the pre-rendered backgrounds and simply rerender them in 4K or even include those original assets in the rerelease

honestly I think the metaphor works better with the rest of the world being 5.

5 year olds tend to be curious, open to learning, and recognize gaps in their knowledge. 12 year olds are starting to get angsty and moody and more defiant for no reason, and want to think they know more than they do.

I used to work a job with 12s overnight every night and it was miserable. Biggest things I would say helped were making sure the room was dark during the day so sleep was more restful and eating and showering quickly after work so I had more time to sleep.

It made it better, but not good.

Honestly I don't have strong enough opinions on it one way or another to really dive into the pedantry of the definition of the terms except in the context of clarifying what is beneficial. I wouldn't use those terms that way but I also wouldn't get angry if someone did, just confused at worst. 🤷‍♀️

I've always historically been an audiobooks count truther, but the difficulty so many have with reading and comprehension today means it now requires more nuance. It DOES activate many of the same brain regions, and is definitely beneficial, but for those who struggle to read, isn't as helpful.

They count as far as literacy, defined as "becoming more learned and knowledgeable about the world"

They don't count as literacy, defined as "the ability to read words on a page." Which is... actually a big issue for lots of kids and young adults right now.

oh damn yeah it didn’t do as well as i thought. while it wasn’t my thing, it WAS my best friend from the time’s system seller and iirc one other random person we knew too back then, so i figured it was like. big. guess that’s the problem with low sample sizes

i mean, wasn’t Fire Emblem that? Like i personally have never been a fan of fire emblem but iirc it was a huge system seller for the 3DS, so why wouldn’t it be here?
