i did google and a canal is planned, but the plan skirts Gaza, I imagine it might touch an edge of Gaza, but the plans as drawn does not go throw thru the middle of Gaza and it is I believe a possible joint Israeli/Egypt project, but lets get back to everything Isreal is evil

she is not the only one, look at Bluesky, theres a govt shutdown, post after post about Gaza and Isreal, how bout getting health care for people in the US, how bout winning an election, no its Gaza, its Isreal, everything else doesn't matter, and Mamdani shouldn't talk about it either

yeah, it isn't going to happen in a day, i think it would be wise for Hamas to give up the weapons or hell is probably going to break loose

Isreal is leader in the middle east in its efforts for water conservation, in this arid land and water conversation is crucial for large populations, one of its major efforts in the resource field is desalination, my guess a canal thru Gaza has more to do with desalination than boats

saying they are part of the same thing is fine, i am not conservative, i lean left, but saying doesn't win elections and that doesn't change things, the left needs to look for a majority and shed the whole revolution thing, they don't have the numbers for it

the libs are stopping nothing, their inability to be a political force has led to the things they bemoan, condemning just becomes a noise in the background when it has no teeth, i hate to see law enforcement with masks on, but I hate to see my family and friends without healthcare more

there has never been a liberal president, it has always been a dem president, Roosevelt didn't get elected because he was liberal or democrat, he got elected because of Republican incompetency, yet he was able to bring about progressive change, you need to elect a dem to get liberal change

im not conflating, the world is, the crazy boycotts of everything Isreal leads to things like people fire bombing the gov of Penn, of a store in Germany of all places putting a no Jews sign in its window, by not being against violence of both sides in Gaza Jews eventually become the DeFacto bad guys

the left has failed to meet the moment in the US, I sincerely believe part of it is worrying more about a cultural war than finding a majority, of making things like Gaza a litmus test for a candidate instead of coalescing as a group and getting elected, health care is an issue that unites

not telling you what you want, the pro Palestinian movement is what I referred to, you I believe believe you are on moral high ground, what you are advocating for is akin to advocating against racism, to defending the rights of minorities, ironically in a part of the world where Isreal is a minority

you don't want peace you want Palestine, and that in essence is the problem with the Pro Palestine movement, it essentially not about saving lives its a political agenda

i don't really care that much about the bible, you don't want Isreal to claim property but back Palestinians claim Isreal has no right to existence, how does that work, in the end you want one group to be ascendant on your reading of history, not for what is best in the present
