Hiked the most beautiful Munro yesterday, it what was glorious conditions (apart from the major bog fest at the beginning).

Ben Lui, 1130m

(Didn’t make it up the adjacent Munro Beinn a’Chlèbh because we took too long enjoying Ben Lui)

Went for a wee walk to the Kilpatrick Hills yesterday.

What a gloriously sunny day!

Took myself in a nice wee walk from Helensburgh to Garelochhead, following along the Three Lochs Way.

Stretching the legs after the West Highland Way. Gotta keep up the walking!

If anyone has any long walk recommendations that are accessible from Glasgow - let me know!

Well what an adventure - wind, fog and good and a good ol chill on the hills yesterday!

The hills definitely have a farewell to the end of Scottish summer!

They were pretty exceptional, but thankfully we managed!!
We did it!

West Highland Way completed

96 miles, 7 days - Milngavie to Fort William!

Absolutely fantastic… through laughter, joy, some tears, and midges, we made it to the end. Walking the beautiful landscapes and meeting wonderful people along the way!
I’m walking the West Highland Way yesterday- check out the fundraising page to support our journey!
Support us along the way! By chipping in A Fiver A Mile (just £1 per Walker, per mile)

As we cover 96miles, we hope to raise at least £480 to keep our work moving forward.

Your donation will go towards creating inclusive opportunities for people who might otherwise never experience the outdoors.
Boots & Beards has been exploring the Scottish outdoors since 2016. Engaging with hundreds of people each year across a range of outdoor and indoor wellbeing programmes.

Providing equipment, training, and creating, welcoming spaces for families, women, young people, and ethnic minority groups.
I started the West Highland Way yesterday with Boots and Beards!

5 of us are taking on our biggest adventure yet - walking 96miles from Milngavie to Fort William. We’re doing it to raise funds to support for Boots and Beards and their outdoor programmes, creating diversity in the outdoors.

What a fab day - our biggest group of the year. 16 people joined us for this wonderful but understated Munro.

Supporting two other walk leaders, the day was a great success and good fun.

What a year!

13 Munros, along with other long excursions around Scotland.

Phew… and lots more in the planning.

Glen Coe, West Highland Way and Ben Nevis on the horizon!

Met so many amazing people, seen many amazing views, plenty of rain and sunshine.

Sometimes you need to know when to say, let’s turn back.

Attempted Tom a' Chòinich & Toll Creagach, Glen Affric today, but it was just too hot!

So we decided to turn back and get berry coolers in Beauly instead.

The sun is not to be messed with, it can be a force.

I can’t believe it’s been a month since going up the hill!

I’ve been doing some travelling, learning to drive and work work work!

But on 6 July we managed the Beinn a’Ghlo 3 Munros!

What a day, wonderful weather, wonderful people!

A fantastic day on Meall nan Tarmachan. A lovely wee ridge with a scramble on the way down. Wonderful views and I always like a little challenge, luckily nothing too untoward!

Recently I’ve assisted with walk leading on Munros with charity Boots and Beards. Promoting access, health and well-being and diversity in the outdoors.

Gaining skills, to help support others to feel comfortable and safe when out and about.

Decided to give my feet a much needed break this weekend and indulge in the warmth of sand the sand between my toes!

Even braved a wee paddle!

Spent a wonderful day up Ben More & Stob Binnein last Sunday!
Here are some more pictures as I might not get out onto the hills until June and I’m feeling the blues!

Last Sunday I spent walking with people who immigrated to this country.

People who have studied, live and work here, and even served our country.

We shared the love of the hills, we shared the love of our cultures and we shared our love for Scotland.

We are not strangers, we are friends.
Have a great time! It is a stunning hike, one I’ll definitely do again x

Stob Binnein another fabulous climb.

Swapped the hills for Paris this week!

A fab couple of days to soak in the sunshine - although turns out Scotland had the same heatwave…
