How the political parties voted on improvements to the European Works Council legislation mepwatch.eu/10/vote.html...

The extreme right voted against, denying workers the right to challenge the employers

Especially this example shows these parties are working for the bosses 1/

What do people consider a fair #wage for CEOs, politicians, doctors & the average full-time worker?

C. Hoy (World Bank) shows that people greatly underestimate wage #inequality.

Confronted with the data, far-right voters alter their views about #redistribution the most @lseinequalities.bsky.social
The wage gap and far-right support for redistribution
New study on beliefs and preferences about the wage gap (CEOs vs average worker). When the true gap is revealed, far right voters change their policy views most.

“With the federal government shutting down just days before the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) monthly jobs report, the American people will be deprived of a popular near-real time check on the pulse of the U.S. economy," says Russell Weaver, director of research at the #CornellILR Buffalo Co-Lab.
Russell Weaver, director of research at the Cornell University ILR School's Buffalo Co-Lab, says re: the October 2025 U.S. government shutdown: “As evidenced in the ADP National Employment report, consensus expectations among economists are that Friday’s BLS job report would have revealed a month-over-month net loss in the total number of private sector jobs located throughout the nation.

In the past four-and-a-half years, or approximately 57 months, the BLS reported month-over-month job losses just once, in June 2025. A second observation of net job losses in the span of just four months would be a telling indicator that all is not well with the American economy.”
