it is still arguably easier, though not significantly. you can tell a tourist "just go to hasenheide or görli; you WILL get hooked up" and they will get hooked up. for okra you'll have to open up maps on your phone to show them where it's at, and the shop might not even have it that day

also was pretty skeptical of the long-term potential of the project. tech people are obsessed with this stuff now bc of their mix of arrogance (machine learning solves all scientific problems) and ignorance (no domain knowledge of neuroscience), they think an easy miracle is just around the corner

the only interesting thing that ever happened to me on there was a few years ago when i was unemployed and snapchat tried to recruit me for a brain-computer interface thing they were thinking about building. didn't want to move to paris though, even though my wife was living in paris that year lol

Clock was a Swedish state-owned competitor to McDonalds run by SARA, a spinoff of the Swedish "System Bolgat" the state alcohol monopoly which branched out into fast food

Their Big Clock was a copy of the Big Mac, but eventually competition with kebabs drove them outta business
