There are actually only 4 venomous snakes in Illinois! Out of those 4, the Cottonmouth is the only one that are really aggressive enough to be that dangerous to humans! The others are generally very shy or actively avoid people.

Here's an important notice! After the release of Chapter 21: Interlude C, my fic will be going on a hiatus until early May. My editor is in the final stretch of uni and he'll be too busy to help me put out chapters! Not going anywhere, but there won't be an update for a bit .

I just really want to make this into something I'll be proud of (which is to say I pretty ashamed of the first few chapters of the fic and will probably go back and rewrite them one day). Anyway, it'll be out when it's ready
