I always come away from a trip to Spain, in mild shock at all the hugging and cheek kissing that goes on in the course of an ordinary day in Valencia - far more friendliness than I have experienced in Vermont in 25 years, where "cold" isn't primarily a descriptor for Winter weather.
mi retrato de un amigo viejo, del otro siglo - como pasan los años
my drawing of Kai in a Cossacks hat, how time flies.

Dude! - bon dia!
we did a drive to Holyoke Mass today,

Thinking he might be exhausted ...
2)
I sat by the window, where a huge Dragonfly soon came seeking a way outdoors.
The waiter said that he (the waiter) needed help to work the window (double paned an probably painted shut anyway), so I managed to catch him (the Dragonfly) in a water glass, covered it with a napkin, and walked him
1) We met up yesterday for lunch at the new location of the Putney Diner, now set in a grand old home, the main rooms have been renovated in a way that reveals the huge timbers revealed by removing the old ceiling, while leaving many original details delightfully intact - it's a wonderful space ...
part of one of the door knockers, the hand holds a two faced, human head, a Janus of sorts - more pics later of the new litter in a week or so when I get to pick them up finally!
