Just seen the first skien of Geese in the sky.
Enjoyed a morning walk Birding at my local patch. Though it was busy with families I still managed to see some birds.
Today’s Bird sightings were
Woodpigeon
Magpie
Blue Tit
Robin
Jay
Great Tit
Buzzard
Crow
Nuthatch
Amazing what happens if you just stand still, currently sitting still in this part of the woods and there’s birds all over . I have seen Great Tits, Nuthatch & Jackdaw.
Tree stump full of Fungi or is it mushrooms? Remember whatever you do don’t pick them just watch them.
Arrived at a different part of my local patch now on its autumn bloom.
In 3 days time I’ll be visiting @rspbscotland.bsky.social Nature Reserve . It has been 12 years since I last visited but thought now is the time to revisit . I’m looking forward to my return.
It is 9 years today I went twitching for The Mandarin Duck at Blackford Pond. I went the day before with no luck so I returned the next day and there it was. It has been the only Mandarin Duck I have seen.
