Yeah, 1's classless mode was fun, but the classes gives more concrete bonuses to builds (plus I'm always fan when maxed out characters aren't fully 100% the same)

Granted, the shotgun was a full auto shotgun. It wasn't rate of fire; it was my high rof DPS option had limited range (the boss flies), and my long range option was too slow for proper DPS with everything happening. Both had substantial reload times, so it was just unfortunate misaligning of builds.

Yeah, the first one is still solid, the second just feels a bit more polished mechanically. I do miss a lot from 1 from open-ended "jank" (that and mostly Resium for Big Rats... and Corsus a bit)

Looking into it further, apparently my issue is only with Lydusa. Somethingsomething being told having a shotgun primary, a slow reload secondary handcannon, and being melee focused just makes her even more miserable than she already is as a boss.

Remnant 2 has been much better than the first, except for the DLCs, which I feel is the opposite. I feel the DLCs in the second one really just want you to use guns only, not a mix and match of guns and melee. Let alone even with level 15 weapons, some bosses are bullet sponges...
