Happy birthday Miku. 🍰
Her birthday was August 31st, but there's still plenty of cake.

I getcha. When my family was around, I was always having to hide things and take stuff off the walls. I don't think they'd care, but I didn't want the conversations. heh. Files and artbooks for you I guess. ;)

Marianne - Gentle Waters
Marianne sits quietly at the water’s edge, her legs slipping into the shallows as the gold-embellished skirt of her swimsuit drifts beneath the surface.

You have to choose a side if you want any impact on the outcome. Sitting in the middle is just throwing the vote away. That's how it is. We're all powerless in every way but one. Our choice still has power.

"Classical mermaid". That helped me recontextualize her design. The fishy one with the green flesh also takes on the vibe of a monster rather than human/fish creature. Given all this, I'm leaning towards #1 for our purposes over here. Thanks for the input. :)
Thanks for this. You question got me to think a bit harder about which one works best for our purposes over here. Her original design (1) is already a bit pushed into non-standard territory. Considering we want something that's a classical mermaid... I think 1 (or close to it) might be best.
Designing a little mermaid (not that little mermaid). Which color scheme do you like?
