True enough, it would be nice if the media fixated on some of the outrageous things republicons say. BUT it sure would also help if the dem leadership at least feigned outrage at what republicons say, in a sustained way, to push the media to cover the story and make the republicons respond.

Didn't the Supremely Corrupt Court say republican presidents have immunity whenever carrying out official acts? So I guess it is legal for Trump to order the US government to murder people, regardless of reasons.
Yes, their "programs" amount to little more than (1) taking taxpayer money and giving it to their rich donors in the form of sweet-heart contracts, (2) expending public money to impose reactionary racist and religious laws and policies on the public, or ideally (3) some combination of (1) and (2).
It is becoming clear to me that to survive as a nation of laws, we need some version of Sherman's March against the billionaires and their corporate empires. Not literally of course, but we need to break up these huge concentrations of wealth, much like Sherman did against the southern plantations.
I think farmers and CEOs knew what they were signing up for when they supported & voted for Trump. They like his racism and his anti clean air & water policies. Farmers expect a fat bailout & free money to cover their losses, and CEOs are so rich now, they've lost all morality and perspective.
"Small government" was always about taking away the safety net and legal protections so rich white people can do whatever the hell they want. Republicons have *always* supported big government when used to advance police-state policies.

They knew what Trump was all about when they voted for him. They knew he'd start a trade war, and they'd lose markets & workers, but the racism and gutting of clean water and endangered species laws was too sweet to pass up. They absolutely expect to get a bail out & free money from the government.
