We spent years being abused, scared to make a sound, & slept on dirty blankets on the floor.
Two of our cats were poisoned.
When we finally managed to get away, we thought we'd be safe & happy & start healing & rebuilding our lives.
Instead, we're going to be homeless now.

People care more for celebrities & fictional characters than they do for people who are ACTUALLY in danger.

My mother has painful lumps spreading inside of her body.
We don't have the money for a doctor or insurance.
We don't even have the money to pay our rent.
We have nothing and no one but each other, and the kind people who have helped us over these months.

Going to clarify that my mother is a cancer survivor.
She had cervical cancer back in the 90s.

The fact that she now has lumps spreading throughout her body has me terrified of losing her.

With no insurance and no money, we have no idea what's going on.
