Work: Set up this interview with this business person to come in and talk about fundraising for a local sports team

Me: Sets up interview

Business Person comes in with ABSOLUTELY no information.

*slams head on desk repeatedly*
Just writing his adventure game idea down so I don't obsess about in my head the rest of the day on not work on my current project.

Adventure Game set around a collectable card game in the 90s where you are a perpetually broke kid trying to get good enough cards to enter a local tournament.
Aside from your game, those are the top picks for me as well. Wish my own entry was a little stronger, but I was coming off a 2-year hiatus of not making anything, plus had a bunch of work drama going on as well. Just happy I had a completable experience.
Last 7 days! Can't wait to see the results.

My personal favorite? @shdon.com 's "Intern's First Day", followed by moumix's "Double-0-Oops!".
We're in the final week of voting for the $109 Adventure Game Challenge. Exciting times for the contestants! I don't know about the other two judges, but my results are in for a while now. Who will take away the prize money? Just a little while longer...

#portfolioday huh? Here's some random #battletech pixelart I've done over the years.
Need something #spoopy for #spoopymonth? Check out this extremely spoopy #creepypasta that I recorded last year for #newgrounds. I was always a little disappointed it never got frontpaged, but oh well

Added a little bit of magic to my #gamedev project
My cellphone is constant restarting so it's time I break down and get a new one. I was hoping to order a replacement on-line, but since I live in a rural area and the continuing Canada post disruptions, I'll have to go and deal with *shudders* salespeople.
I am making a very, very serious game with absolutely no levity.
Just some random test footage, but if you wonder why #gamedev is so slow, below represents about two-weeks of working part-time on the intro-sequence for my current project.

On my quest to turn my jam games into a Steam compilation, another enemy appears: the Steam overlay!

It just won't show up on Unity games if I launch them from the .exe, which is something I have to do because there's 10 and the main application is a launcher.

But at least achievements work now!
Custom Sierra style interface buttons done for the game's UI. Now need to change the rest of the UI/Menus.

Started to replace the built-in AGS UI with my own, equally terrible icons.

Update: it seems like the AGS plugin is not being loaded at runtime, and that's why my achievements don't work.

I made a new plugin that crashes the game on purpose and it worked only twice, then it doesn't get loaded anymore and I have no idea why.

I'm on AGS 3.6.0
Help re: AGS and Steam
On Godot/Unity you pass the app id at init time and you can set achievements from the engine run. They work even if you run the game from the exe, but achievos in my AGS games only work if launched via Steam.
I need to be able to set them "from outside". Is there a way?
Somehow still nicer than my apartment 😅
Why yes, I was raised on a steady diet of Sierra games and Naked Gun movies. Why do you ask?

I wonder if there's a parallel universe out there where the optimism we had in the 90s for the future was warranted
Awoooos added! Ready to ship (NOT!)
