#Mothership month is basically unexpected presents to your future self.

The #mothership module "Not Enough Scoundrels" by Chris Airiau, with many bags of d5 dice, a patch, and ship stat index cards all sitting on a desk.

I hear the name every year, but have never looked hard at it. I went to their website, and the tagline is "Gamehole Con is the largest majority RPG gaming convention in the world."
Apparently the 2023 attendance was around 6000.
GenCon is around 70k.
Something doesn't seem to add up.

Oh yeah. That makes sense. I found that with the robot legion I printed last year as well. I broke a lot of tri-scorpion legs off.

Seems to be the older sculpts OPR put out had much beefier pre-support.

If it's an interesting boss fight, and not a stupid "whittle down the health bar while trying to not be one shot" one then I can find them interesting.

I still prefer bosses to "it's time to jump across 500 narrow platforms and ledges *perfectly* before the next save point" though.

I feel like a lot of Patrick Stuart's work is as you describe. A lot of the things in Veins of the Earth are conceptually brilliant, but nigh ungameable in a way I could conceive. Silent Titans also.

The B2C episode on Ghosts of Zoazanna Mountain sounds like it may also be in this camp?
