Well and also clothes are less expensive now than when they were made in the US... and we treat them as such. No one mends a torn pair of pants anymore, you throw 'em out and buy a new one. And people have larger wardrobes than they used to because they can afford to.

I guarantee you it is the latter. More than 40 hours on one paycheck (if you're paid weekly) and the payroll system will automatically trigger OT pay. It would be unorthodox and needlessly complicated accounting practice for it to work any other way.

let me guess, accounting weeks run Saturday-Friday and you didn't exceed 40 hours in any single week by that measure by working 57 hours from Thursday-Sunday?

Oh man McDonald's apparently is doing their Monopoly thing again for the first time in a decade except this time you need to have their goddamn app to win anything, or even to obtain half the potential pieces because some of them are digital only.

Either way though the only way anyone involved in any of this ends up in prison is if some state is able to make state charges stick. For anything federal they will simply be pardoned on the way out, whether it is by Trump or by Vance.

I am too but this comes down to everyone is different.

There are men who can't keep it up for someone who isn't at least a 9/10 to them. And if his wife slips below that standard after years of marriage well... sorry, he physically can't. But it doesn't mean he doesn't still love her.

It's a distraction from what focus group participants really care about. Of course, focus group participants are not a representative sample of the population and this will continue to be a massive blindspot for the Dem establishment as long as they keep relying on them.

Controversial opinion: this is a stopped clock moment, they're actually doing something useful, and we should seek to copy this in the US.

Environmental review lawsuits are 2% actual environmental protection and 98% NIMBYs weaponizing the law against projects they don't like. Get rid of them.
