Question 2 asks if we want to allow courts to temporarily restrict access to dangerous weapons if they are believed to be a danger to themselves or others. It is a "yellow flag" law. And could have helped prevent the major shooting Maine experienced a couple years ago.

Here in Maine there are 2 referendum questions.

Question 1 is about voting access and rights. Especially absentee voting. It asks if you want to limit access to absentee voting. A "no" vote keeps the current status quo. There's more to it but character limits.
