My favorite tv cop character at the moment is the one played by Rossif Sutherland in Murder In A Small Town. Season 2 is finally underway. Very different from cops in Dick Wolf shows like Law & Order

Happy to share that I’m now officially an affiliated faculty at Harvard Law School

Firmly believe law is where the most important conversations are happening, and am looking forward to building connections between law, policy, and politics. Thanks to those who helped make this happen!

This is the whole ballgame: “A candidate in today’s day and age needs to be able to explain ideas in a 30-second vertical social media video, a three-minute television hit and a three-hour long-form podcast.”

Can’t do all 3? Can’t hang in 2025. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/14/m...

Wait, I thought the fascism was God's judgment on us but now this seems like something from the Book of Revelation as well

This sort of reminded me of the internal struggles going on in the Democratic Party right now, in terms of divergent perceptions about what voters want.

I've been influenced a lot by writings of ancients who spent a lot of time in solitude (desert fathers, hermits, or religious writers who were bedridden for extended periods with chronic illness or debilitating injuries). I appreciate collective action endeavors but there is another valid path.

I do not agree with Robert Reich on this point, although I often do find myself in agreement with him. There are, of course, benefits to collective action, but I think one *can* live a moral life alone in an age of bullies, without participating in organized activities, protests, petitions, etc.

Living a moral life in an age of bullies requires collective action; it cannot be done alone. Each of us must organize and participate in a vast network of moral resistance. From this solidarity we will grow stronger. This is what our current moment requires.

Monet’s work at Giverny wasn’t just about lilies.
He also created a flower garden (the Clos Normand) and a Japanese-inspired water garden. 🌺🌊

I wish the reporter had followed up with, "You mean you want to let Trump do whatever he likes without binding yourself, so that you can do the opposite when a Democrat is in the WH and the same issue arises? Is that another way of expressing what you just said?"

I had to Google each of those names to find out who they are! Sports talkers, it seems.

I'm at a smaller standalone law school, where there are plenty of complaints about this. I've wondered why all the work doesn't get outsourced to some firm that specializes in handling this for schools.

Cruel people feel a rush of power when they mistreat people. It's both intoxicating and addictive.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Seeking study participants!

CVP researchers want to hear your perspectives about gun violence and its prevention.

Our goal is to connect with people who are impacted by—but often left out of conversations about—gun violence.

The Nobel Museum borrowed Amartya Sen's bicycle, upon which he'd ridden from 1945 to 1998 to collect data on local wages and prices, to transport a scale for weighing boys and girls in various villages to suss out gender-based deprivation, to run a night school, and so on.

I don't see where I said people are trespassing. Also, I've interacted with that toxic individual before, and he is one of the reasons I left the Musk platform.

Here is ostrich town crier Katie explaining how she has antibodies to H5N1 because of the “harmless” H5N1 she got from her mom’s infected ostriches & how we’d all be seropositive for H5N1 if we were tested.

Using ostrich expert Steven Pelech’s test, that’s probably true 🧵
