This is very similar to what I teach my students. Read. Listen to podcasts. Engage in uncomfortable conversations and read opinions contrary to yours. I’ve had to trust my gut with each of my businesses. Don’t underestimate the power of your intuition.

It was funny to be teaching a class on business communications, and why you shouldn’t text during a business meeting, and at the same time getting text from people wanting to know whether they can add an additional person to the dinner party tonight. Kind of ironic.

One of my Magat acquaintances thinks I should acknowledge that Trump has achieved “peace and security” in the Middle East. Yes, the hostages are home, but now what? Trump is a malignant narcissist and who knows what comes next. I’m happy the hostages are home but that’s as far as I can go.

I’m finding that the docs I talk to are angrier than ever that their procedures are being denied by PAs or NPs, or by physicians with a different specialty. Many are tired enough of this crap that they’re willing to make that phone call.

Even denials made by a physician are likely not made by one in the specialty you need. In my experience in managed care, most well-documented appeals will overturn a denial, especially if a doc requests peer-to-peer and insists on the same specialty.
