Cool. Interestingly, the speech perception literature is headed in the other direction. McClelland & Elman in the 80s, but more recently McMurray, Magnuson, Toscano (+ others), suggesting fuzzy/graded effects during processing, with categorization happening relatively late in the game

I've been appreciating that I can use ORCiD for at least most manuscript central sign-ons. (Of course you need to have and remember your journal-specific password to sign on the first time, but discard it after that).

Audio timing is a nightmare. We use a Stimtracker and a 'click' in a second audio channel to maintain/verify stimulus-EEG alignment. Some systems will also let you record the audio stim directly to an aux EEG channel in the EEG/MEG record.
