EMTALA helps some workers who aren't yet citizens in extreme emergencies.
Eg: An agricultural worker came to our ER bleeding out from an colon tumor.
He was allowed to have surgery.
But afterwards, he required life-saving chemo which was denied, so I paid for it while he kept harvesting our crops.
