Sadly I feel it’s bound to be overshadowed by Hades II but I get it. Had I not preordered Hades II physical—which is only releasing on late Nov—I’d probably not have gotten Absolum. But I’m beyond glad I didn’t skip this one 🫰🏼

Love the graphics, the combat, the music—physical copy comes with a downloadable code for the OST.
The progression systems are keeping me hooked. I’m far from 100%ing it and I keep coming back.
If you like roguelikes or beat ‘em ups I can’t recommend this enough.

"Finished" Absolum 👾
This was the perfect game at the right for me.
I can safely say this is the best beat 'em up I ever played; the roguelike structure really breathes the genre a new life. Not to mention the most fun playing couch and online co-op in forever.
It’s another 10/10 🌟

"Finished" Absolum 👾
This was the perfect game at the right for me.

I love Onimusha. I played the remaster of the first one recently and it aged really well. Still fun. And I look forward to the reboot

I do love it that the physical released includes a code to download the OST (which is great by the way), and a booklet with story bits, characters, and a manual.
If they patch it I’ll try doing the secret levels.

Re: Bugs: One had me redo a whole level, and it wasn’t clear to me it was a bug till I watched a video.
This is extra disappointing coming from Silksong where I encountered 0 bugs in over 90h of gameplay vs ~10 here—especially when it’s published by Dotemu & NG is a very known IP with KT oversight

👍🏼: The dual protagonists, the artstyle, and Ikaruga-like mechanics that make some sections feel like a fast-paced puzzle 🧩
It’s also a speedrunner dream with a lot of unlockables and replayability 👾
👎🏼: A few but annoying late-game bugs 🐞
