I co-write with my wife, talk about World of Warcraft, and sometimes make things in Blender.

I feel like every "ChatGPT will provide erotica for adult users" headline should read "ChatGPT offers low-quality fap material in a desperate attempt to get users to sign up for identity theft".

I'll just keep my fingers crossed that I don't have to build my own shrine out of individual pieces of trash.
dragovian.bsky.social
Has anyone who's dug into housing seen if it's possible to set up a shrine to Jani?

I miss taking offerings to trash piles around Zandalar.
dragovian.bsky.social
Oh. So they really are elves.

/steals all their stuff and offers it to Jani

Looks like Lucky Yun is going to be getting some competition.

(No, he isn't, not until Niuzao himself consents to be my mount.)

Several mounts and pets from World of Warcraft. The image is split asymmetrically into two panels: on the left, the background is gray, and the WoW Classic logo is positioned at the top. There’s a human character riding a drake and two pets below that model. One of the pets is fully visible, while the other remains as a mysterious silhouette. On the right are 4 mounts. Three are fully visible and mounted by player characters. The fourth mount is left as a mysterious silhouette. There’s a World of Warcraft logo for 12 months of game time on the top right.

I need to learn how to sew.

Not for any interesting reason, just because I'm fat and Society has deemed that fat people must have necklines that span their entire shoulders and nothing made out of non-synthetic fabrics, ever, and I would like some cotton flannel pajamas.

Mildly annoyed that my Lemix pally can solo a normal dungeon, but can't solo Violet Hold, the normal dungeon I need, because of mind control mechanics.

Yes, I could group up and finish the dungeon quite easily.

No, I do not wish to group up for any reason whatsoever.

Microsoft's desperation to force us all to adopt Spyware: The Operating System is so disgusting.

I would love to see it backfire on them and a non-spyware OS eat their lunch. Sadly, that requires devs to support non-Windows options better than they do.

I do not understand why I am required to heal on my discipline priest, when clearly disc OUGHT to be the priest tank spec.

(The time on Siren Isle when Sunlin inadvertently wound up tanking a rare was the highlight of TWW for me.)

Disc is the only caster to make my brewmaster heart sing with joy.

God, hearing the Microsoft AI CEO talk about how they want Copilot to be my "companion" who hears what I hear and sees what I see just makes me want to not use a computer anymore.

I don't want a companion who surveils my entire life. Even my WIFE doesn't get to know me that well.

Legion Remix has merely cemented my belief that the most dangerous beings on Azeroth are the seemingly-innocent neutral wildlife.

Oh my sweet fucking gods, how did they even get into leadership positions if they don't have the cojones to lead?

(Also that stirred up a lot of "well, Pratchet is fine, it's not like trying to defend someone saying a cozy mystery author is their favorite" and "let people enjoy crap" responses, and my insecurities cannot deal with how judge-y social media is.)
dragovian.bsky.social
I appreciate this.

And I'm sure my already existing anxiety was only exacerbated by the recent post mocking Terry Pratchet as the favorite author of an adult. Because I don't know who I'd name as my fave, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a proper choice for an adult allowed to have opinions.

As a born southwesterner who has lived in the east for almost a decade, I am still convinced that water falling from the sky is deeply unnatural and should be viewed with suspicion, if not outright fear.

Looking at some of her replies to the quotes of her original post, her argument seems to be "they literally didn't hand out paperwork to immigrants so how could they have changed anyone's name."

I write for entertainment. I don't think I have any great truths to deliver, any literary depths to plumb. I write because "wouldn't it be cool if the blorbos in my brain did the thing?"

I've always questioned my validity as a writer because of that, and the anti-AI arguments press that nerve.
dragovian.bsky.social
I've come to realize that one of the things which has shut down my ability to write over the past...year-ish...isn't so much the fear that AI will take all our jobs, it's the pro-human insistence that "human writing has meaning".

I'm not sure my writing means anything.
dragovian.bsky.social
I'm baffled by her insistence that everyone's immigrant family members are lying and she alone will tell us the truth.

And also the assumption that everyone on here is young enough that they wouldn't have known the grandparents/great grands who came over pre-WWI.

I get sent to fetch ingredients from the pantry or sometimes stir the food while she chops.

Oh, absolutely. Anything that involves peppers requires periodic exclamations of "Peppers!" rather than "yes chef!"

Do you and your partner turn cooking dinner into the Iskara soup event, or are you normal?
