I liked that Superman 2025 let Lois Lane ask some hard-hitting questions in her role as a journalist, albeit in an informal setting. It was one of the few bits of breathing room the film had, though. That's the only problem I had with the movie.

The people of Earth are just... there. Ok, there's that one teacher played by Natasha Lyonne. The rest of the human race is treated as a collective nobody by the writers. Want me to care about a fictional Earth being destroyed? Maybe populate it with some side characters I can get attached to.

Fantastic Four: First Steps was dull and predictable. I dug the retrofuturism. The four leads are likeable enough but they chose a dull and drawn-out storyline to go with. Just straight to a villain whose motivations are rather dull too. The comedy is as bland as I've seen in any comic book movie.

RIP Ozzy Osbourne. Such a trooper to put on that last show for all of his fans. Pioneer. Invented a freaking subgenre of rock. Not many people who can say that. A big part of the mystical/Satanic themes of heavy metal. Black Sabbath broached initial aspects of thrash metal, doom metal... Legend.

Predator: Killer of Killers was pretty badass. Wall-to-wall action. Just go into it expecting over-the-top action like in an anime instead of grounded fight scenes. Main issue I had was the low framerate. First predator was also way too big. Third chapter was the weakest. Overall 7/10.

My timeline might be a bit off. Technically she had plenty of time to have a proper relationship with Aegon even before she left for Dragonstone and the whole eye incident but she just chose not to.

Still can't get over how Rhaenyra went off to Dragonstone. She should've remained in KL schmoozing all the lords and ladies. Plus she could've developed a relationship with Aegon. Candy bribes and piggyback rides could have averted the war. #houseofthedragon #hotd #asoiaf

It was an amazing run for the pillows. But I get why they broke up. They seemed to be stuck in a rut creatively these past 10, 15 years. Still forever my favorite j-rock band.

A lot of the sounds in 16-bit console games were essentially compressed samples from popular sound modules. It's an interesting watch for anyone into nerdy stuff.

Mega Man X is one of my favorite vgm OSTs. Here it is remade by someone using the original hardware. This is how it would've sounded to the composers before it got compressed when they sampled everything for the game. Launch Octopus in particular sounds amazing.
