there is an art to it

(fiat 130 coupé, chevy corvette c4, renault twingo 1, audi a2)
front door of the fiat 130 coupé. the shutline follows the angle of the window glass while still agreeing with the side sculpting. bonnet of the chevrolet corvette c4. it is a clamshell design hidden by the two-tiered bodywork, like layers on a cake. bonnet of the renault twingo 1. a simple rectangle intersecting with the headlight ambers to give the impression of a smiling face. c: rear door of the audi a2. it curves with the wheelarch and extends to the very bottom, so it looks like it's hewn from one block of metal.
