yes, and one thing that's changed is a respect for someone letting something go and allowing it to be released, or someone finding a way to work on something at a reasonable speed and move onto the next thing. Didn't use to respect that but I'm currently paralyzed by working way too slow...

i over romanticize books, but i am glad my 'day job' is essentially selling books, might seem obvious but they are very valuable things, jotted down thoughts and feelings from people composed carefully (or purposefully sloppily) and ready for you to work with whenever you, the reader, is ready.

at this point, i'm impressed by any cartoonist finishing anything, making a book is not easy, not sure how i've finished 3 books in the past, hope i can get this one done within a decade...

yeah, except a lot of people (most) use TV for reasons other than depression, ratio might be less high

I wonder if the ratio of comics consumption due to depression is higher than the same ratio for other media. TV might be higher? Maybe not the act of reading comics so much as the act of purchasing them…
