It's the following day . . . And I STILL have not recovered from THE Miss MISSY performing at the VS fashion show!

We don't deserve Missy Elliott . . . But she gives us the joy anyway. 🙏🏾🫶🏾🙏🏾
A little Dolores del Río to start the day. ✨

Excited for @criterion.bsky.social's release of Captain Blood. Even more excited for @selfstyledsiren.bsky.social's essay and Alan Rode's commentary. Both of them enjoyed my bio on the Warner brothers, so maybe you will as well!

I will say, whenever listening to Ms. Saint reflecting on her life and career in interviews, it's like a burst of sunshine. Always a delight.
For absolutely no reason . . . Eva Marie Saint 👏🏾 appreciation 👏🏾 post. 💛

"Judy Garland is not only the most electrifying entertainer to watch on stage[...]she has moved beyond fame to become the rarest phenomenon in all show business. Part bluebird, part Phoenix, she is a legend in her own time."

Very sad news…

The incredible D’Angelo has died.

A pioneer of the neo-soul movement, he was 51.

His musical legacy continues to have a massive impact today.

This means that his son, Michael, has lost both his mother, Angie Stone, and his father within just a matter of months.

"I never understood the idea that you're supposed to mellow as you get older. Slowing down isn't something I relate to at all. The goal is to continue in good and bad, all of it. To continue to express myself, particularly. To feel the world..."

"I never understood the idea that you're supposed to mellow as you get older. Slowing down isn't something I relate to at all. The goal is to continue in good and bad, all of it. To continue to express myself, particularly. To feel the world. To explore. To be with people. To take things far. To risk. To love. I just want to know more and see more."
