Does it require a download? Yes

Series X version is only a 1,7 GB stub. Xbox One version only offers tutorials and a few teams for friendly games. Rest requires a download.

It is rather simple, actually. Buy and enjoy every game you want to play. But if you want to support physical media and customer rights, stay as far away from CIAB, game-key cards and incomplete disc releases. Those are clear steps away from what you want. No two ways about it.

It was all a blatant lie from Bethesda!

In a stream yesterday, our friend Ricky aka Retro Game Future confirmed that Oblivion Remastered is NOT on disc. Just like Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi: Survivor, the game forces an update after the tutorial section.
