Because Trump is attempting to suppress voter turnout, all my friends who were previously indifferent to voting have now come out to vote against him. It pissed them off.

It exposes how our voting sys aren’t actually designed w universal accessibility in mind. We talk about the right to vote as fundamental, but then create systems where exercising that right depends heavily on your physical abilities, access to transportation, and which state you happen to live in.

The uncomfortable truth is that in states like Texas, the answer for some people is effectively “nothing” - they fall through the cracks. The system assumes everyone either has the mobility to get to a polling place…
