Yeah honestly I think the doctor I saw (actually a nurse practitioner; they're better than GPs but shhh) referred me because she's good at her job. :P

It could be something as benign as a stuck tonsil-stone, or a cyst. Either way, sometimes my jaw hurts from the pressure back there.

The fucked up part is that I have a blood test booked, but they referred me faster than we planned so the test for infection markers is several days after whatever they want to test at the hospital.

There's a "thickening" in the lower third of my tonsil but no obvious inflammation.

Doctor Google is a bad practitioner, but this time I'm kinda thankful for their scaremongering.

Anyway, I've got a referral for my throat in a few days under the "2 Week Wait" pathway for urgent diagnosis.

OH boy.

It can't possibly be cancer because cancer is a crab and I am a duck. :)

I think basic gameplay that requires more input from the player would be nice too; more active, skill-based gameplay that doesn't rely so much on ability cool downs and menial tasks.

From my limited experience with RuneScape it still seems like it would involve a lot of standing around. I think my main issue is that the games are massive time sinks...

MMOs always seem so cool; the hundreds of hours of content, the apparently complex systems and layers... Then you turn up and it's essentially a second job you pay to work, moving your scrimblo around under a spreadsheet that takes up half the screen...
