Archie Sonic Online (ASO) - Prime Zone Data File Art

This is the artwork for the group's data file of the main locale for the Archie Sonic universe, in their website. I was in charge of coloring this and it was one of the more enduring (but also enjoyable) projects I've done in a while.

Featured inhabitants of the main Prime Zone world of the Archie Sonic universe, mostly consisting of New Mobotropolis natives (Sonic, the Freedom Fighters, etc.), Team Dark, Monkey Khan, Dr. Eggman and various villains.

IF the designer of the fakemon gave PocketPair permission, thats a whole different story. But until we hear otherwise, its very shady.

Regardless if the devs are making money off the game, taking someone else's hard work isn't okay. Artists get their work stolen for bootlegs and the like all the time, this is no different.

There's also a case for potentially stealing a fakemon design from a fan. There's a chance the designer could've given the Palworld devs the design to use, but theres equal chance it could've been stolen and used without their consent. The design is once again, eerily similar.

That being said, I do feel Nintendo has a valid legal case regarding some of the Pal designs bc some of them are eerily close to actual Pokémon designs, to the point one thing was changed.

I'd like to give my thoughts regarding the information about the patent lawsuit Pokémon filed against Palworld.

Do I think the patent being rejected is good? Yes. Especially bc the whole catching and taking monster mechanic has been a thing since Shin Megami Tensei, from 1987!
