The American people started this month off with higher insurance rates and canceled SNAP benefits for millions. Meanwhile, Republicans are still getting checks for doing nothing! Are we great yet⁉️

Reminder that Spotify has still not gotten rid of their ICE ads. They think they can just stay silent without answering to the public. Let’s show them how wrong they are, let’s hit them where it hurts! These corporations don’t understand anything unless it hurts their bottom line.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Welch: "This has nothing to do with the shutdown. The law requires and the funds are available to continue SNAP right now without any interruption. So that is a decision the president is making on his own to allow people to go hungry."

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

THREE WAYS TO TAKE ACTION NOW

1. Donate to your local food bank.

2. Collect and distribute to your local community shelter. Check with your local organizations first to see what they need most.

3. Host a give-back drive in your community. Visit NoKings.org/alliance to learn more.

A few days ago an untrained ICE thug pointed a gun at a pregnant woman in a Chicago suburb. Lesly Guevara, a US citizen, recorded the incident. The thug pulled out of his vehicle and pointed his gun at Guevara and said, "You're dead, liberal". She is now suing ICE.

This is America now!

The Trump administration has a rainy day fund that will keep SNAP from expiring in November. Trump is refusing to use it.

Funding SNAP isn't a choice he can make. It's a legal obligation. USDA must release the funds and stop punishing the American people.
