HUD data on demographics. It’s not more current bc gqp stopped requirement of reporting demographics of poverty bc it shows yt ppl use social services the most INCLUDING VOUCHERS. Gqp stopped collection of housing data the same way they prohibit collecting gun health data. Same motivation.

How Reagan Nixon privatized subsidized housing then SLASHED funding of housing. The reason yt middle class built wealth after WW2 is bc Feds subsidized buying of their private homes thru the gi bill but excluded Black ppl.

Feds since the 1970s have actually cut subsidizing housing across the board. HUD doesnt build AH anymore, Reagan moved it to private equity via the LIHTC irs program. Right now HUD administers gqp created vouchers that don’t recirculate. Also, bc gqp slashed budgets, it slashed maintenance subsidies
on EXISTING BUILDINGS BC by definition public housing doesn’t make a profit thru rents. Then you get a declining property bc the vouchers made up the gap. So when u cut maintenance and vouchers you get buildings going into decline

Bc the judges will believe white folks telling that story, but they tend not to believe Black n brown folks w the same story.
