We are in the “Ms. Rachel is Hamas” stage of Israel’s genocide insanity. Dear God, just uplifting the suffering of Palestinian children will get you attacked by these monsters.

Unreal.
Morally bankrupt genocide apologists have reached a new low by going after the beloved Ms Rachel. Why? She has the moral courage to humanize Palestinian children!

We stand in unwavering solidarity with Mrs. Rachel and her message of love and justice for ALL children. 👶🏿👧🏾🧒🏽👦🏻

Outside of Eric Adams, no single elected official has done more damage to NYC than New York’s #1 Nepo Baby, Andrew Cuomo. Here’s the proof 🧵

While our attention is captured by the Adams corruption scandal, the cost of living crisis grinds on.

A report released by 5Boro Institute yesterday found a staggering 61% of New Yorkers say it's becoming difficult to meet their basic needs. Half are considering leaving NYC.

Eric Adams sold out our children and working families to Trump to keep his own corrupt ass out of jail. This is ruling class solidarity. We need working class solidarity. Join DSA: socialists.nyc/join

One concrete thing everybody can do to support federal workers is participate in (and spread the word about) the February 19 Save Our Services day of action

Hard to exaggerate the stakes:

If large numbers of unions, workers, and activists stand up in solidarity with federal workers, Musk can be isolated and defeated

But if they don't, the immediate future for all our movements is looking pretty bleak

Trump is testing the waters with Musk’s coup

If there’s only mild resistance when he attacks a big powerful opponent (federal unions), this’ll encourage further power grabs & even harder attacks vs those w/ fewer resources: immigrants, trans people, Palestine activists, leftists

Non-union workers, the fight of federal workers is also your fight

Not only do good union jobs raise the bar for all bosses, but if Musk can terrorize federal employees into submission, your boss can try to do the same: intimidation, layoffs, + increased workloads for less pay
Reposted by Diana Moreno
If Musk illegally busts federal employee unions with little public outcry or broad labor fightback, every employer will take note & try to copycat

Remember: Reagan’s 1981 firing of federal PATCO airtraffic controllers sparked an employer offensive in all industries vs all unions

Musk’s attacks on federal workers pose an existential threat to the whole labor movement, all workers, and the broad Left

It’s alarming that most people don’t yet understand the stakes 🧵

Elon Musk is a billionaire union-buster who wants government to work for him, not for working people.

We’re at the Department of Labor today to say: Not on our watch.

The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.” 4/4

And if we do act, in however small a way, we don't have to wait for some grand utopian future. 3/4
What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places-and there are so many-where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act. 2/4
Howard Zinn: “To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness. 1/4
