I say not grimdark because although it's a morally gray story about bounty hunters in a world of murder, organized crime, & old prejudices, the story's about characters who find a reason to find goodness in the world and reasons to live in it no matter the actions they have to take or pasts endured.

For a while I was really sruggling with what genre to actually place Martyr in. It's not quite grimdark, or dystopian, and the setting's not high fantasy nor recent modern day.

I think dark urban fantasy probably fits the best. It doesn't ALWAYS take place in the city but most of it does at least.
