The #CSDDD is a key tool to ensure corporate accountability in global supply chains.

To meet its purpose, prevent exploitation like Rana Plaza, the directive must not be undermined. Union involvement & civil liability must be maintained.

More evidence that the #climate emergency affects *everything* - it should be front & centre of ALL government decisions. As well as serious adaptation (petition here petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7300…) Govt must urgently stop making things worse eg greenlighting high carbon airport expansion

Absolutely! It is bizarre, do they know they'll lose out to competitors for London-Paris or are just accepting their decline? Perhaps it's also linked to the general French government incompetence at the moment in terms of rail with someone blocking sensible decisions?
Indeed! I guess once those TGV M finally are available at least SNCF might start to replace their ageing fleet...
When is SNCF & Eurostar finally getting replacement trains for TGV réseau/PBKA/PBA? They're uncomfortable design and outdated: yesterday the doors unlocked before arrival... And ridiculous seat for an international journey without a table @jonworth.eu @seatsixtyone.bsky.social #crossborderrail
TGV réseau type train coupled together in Midi Ridiculous seating without a table, think you'll work - think again?!
Uuh I see! Great that they're upgrading despite the endless delay with the ICE L... However the ICE L has more than 100 seats more, so will be good to increase capacity and hopefully will be just as good in terms of comfort?
Ah, why? I just checked and I can only find ICs on that route and as I understood it they would be a bit faster and more accessible and comfortable than the existing ICs? Is there another route on which ICE3neo will be replaced, I think they only go from Frankfurt to Amsterdam?
Argh, this is the opposite of what we need. We need to expand renewables production to replace fossil fuels. Hoping that @industrialleurope.bsky.social @igmetall.bsky.social and other unions can counter these plans! @janrosenow.bsky.social any thoughts on what this means for future renewables?

Thanks for some positive news! Also really excited for the new ICE-L to start operation soon and especially focusing on #crossborderrail!
Oh no, not another one ending... I hope the carriages get redeployed elsewhere at least?

The era of oil & gas is over - reserves are running dry and companies are pulling out leaving workers and communities high and dry

Government urgently needs to make a plan to harness those skills for the green energy transition

My piece for Prospect Magazine on my Energy Jobs Bill:
Screenshot of a headline from Prospect Magazine, reading: 'There will be no transition without high-carbon skills.'

Subheading reads: My new Energy Jobs Bill would harness the expertise of those working in oil and gas to support the shift to clean power, by Carla Denyer

Latest poll puts Greens just two points behind Labour. When I said we weren't here to be disappointed in Labour but to replace them, I meant it.

Just extraordinary to witness this nature-hating government sabotaging Labour’s own legacy. And for absolutely no reason: nature protection isn’t blocking development - it’s a necessary prerequisite for it (& for everything else, come to that…)

Not only are we at record numbers of members and growing every day - this is our highest ever poll rating.

We're just getting started.

This is the politics of the 99% Vs the 1% for a country we can all afford to live in - plenty of room to grow.

But here's proof showing off to JP Morgan despite destruction of some of the "rarest creatures in our country."

I'd actually forgotten how extraordinary it is that when I won the leadership - I wasn't interviewed as it was too close to our party conference interviewed.

And then refused a second time!

Part of the antidote to all of this is creating our own media platforms.

That is QUITE the bias! It's been clear for a good while now where she is, politically. But to let it show in such an obvious way, that's just professional negligence
