Yeah, definitely not going to be rushing to get a copy of Legends ZA. I've seen a lot from the leaked copies now and there's a LOT of things I really strongly dislike about it from that alone.

Won't know for sure until it releases everywhere, I'll keep an eye on it, but hopes are not high on my end

So they put generated slop code in GZDoom from the looks of it. After years of gaining favor with modders and indie devs, what the fuck was the planned outcome here??

Fingers crossed that the spiderlings start vacating that nest soon so I can relocate them and make sure Crumb can get some food. They just sorta do this whenever they're raising their young, but it does make me sad seeing her starve herself like this.

She's at least going for water this time

Crumb came out for a little while today. She's still really thin and not wanting to leave her babies for too long at a time, but she's still very responsive and energetic from the looks of things.

Added bonus here: you can just barely see some of the spiderlings in her nest here

Trying not to do much more playtesting and just focus on buttoning up a few configs, resource packs, etc. I intentionally didn't do much reading into what a few of these mods do so I can be surprised and I'm trying not to spoil any of that for myself.

Definitely looking like it'll be happening later this week, not quite tonight. In that time I'm going to take a few more looks under the hood and maybe tweak a few more gameplay things.

The whole look/vibe of it is exactly where I want it though.

Will say that Lost Cities is doing a lot of heavy lifting for the sorta "haunted urbex" vibe here and I've spent hours tweaking the Epoch shader to further benefit that.

Unlike the Lost Tapes thing I did last year, I do intend on making it to the end in this so it might be more than a 1-off

I do have a little Minecraft horror project similar to the one I did last year. I'm hoping to stream some of it tonight, but either way I plan on going live with it in the near future.

No "dweller" type stuff in this but there's a few things I deliberately didn't research much for surprises

Crumb herself is fine and her current round of spiderlings are still in her nest. She's gotten thin from not leaving them like the first time, but besides that seems perfectly fine. I've been watching her close, I was actually more worried about her than Plum with how much he was thriving.

I've accepted that this is an unfortunate reality of trying to raise these guys, they're tiny, fragile, and unpredictable that's why they have hundreds of offspring at a time; but I'd grown really attached to Plum and I just can't believe this happened. I really thought he'd make it.

He was nowhere near any water droplets, he wasn't crushed, the room temperature hadn't changed, and he was well fed. I looked him and his enclosure over every way I could to see what the hell happened and nothing was out of the ordinary. It didn't seem like a molting mishap either.

Sad update on the jumping spiders, the spiderling I'd kept from Crumb's first round of babies, Plum, unfortunately passed away.

I have no clue what happened to him. He was eating and drinking normally, still had plenty of energy, looked healthy in every regard just hours ago before I went to sleep.

Always kind of a weird time of year for me. I love the fall season, I love Halloween, but I'm one of those people who actively dreads their birthday and that's smack dab in the middle of October. Always a bit of a buzzkill, that.

Just finished up, made some good progress! Stubbornly stuck to my guns and managed to finally cheese out a win in the flying type gym.

Cut things a tad short just because I've been feeling a bit light headed since I woke up, hoping to make up for that with some more Emeral Seaglass this week 👍
