I don't think anything is more tiring than RS3 players trying out Grid Master in OSRS and then piping up in OSRS spaces about how mad they are that things are different from RS3

Pretty good ending spot for day 2, and I stand corrected on the "not feeling OP in combat" bit - I didn't realize just how much of a power spike the third mastery level is.

Some end of day 1 thoughts for Grid Master:

Fun so far but I'm likely gonna go back to the main game before finishing the board.

Definitely feels very "OP" progression-wise, but strangely not with respect to combat. It doesn't feel like "leagues 3/5 endgame" like I was expecting.

Jagex's idea of "The first 3 players to complete it will get to help design future leagues content" is gonna crash and burn on a few different levels, and it's gonna be kinda funny but also really sad

It's largely gonna be a "when I get the time/motivation for it" thing because despite the "just add subtitles lol" crowd, it's a HUGE timesink even with a webapp that IS working properly.

On a related note, it looks like YT has finally fixed their in-app subtitle creation tool to be usable without 30 seconds of lag on every click, so I'm looking to get started on adding real subtitles to the UIM series soon.

In my opinion it’s time to retire the Nobel prizes for fields where most of the important discoveries have already been made, like physics, and add prizes for newer fields where substantial innovations occur every year, like speedrunning
