My best friend of 40 years, gone now, and I used to toss ideas back and forth for hours, exercising our minds and testing our opinions, many hours if we were stoned. I really miss that. The only time I got close to that online was in forums. But those aren't like they were anymore.

There isn't a single agency in this regime Trump won't repurpose in his quest for revenge. Any that aren't useful to that end he's shuttering, defunding, and firing the employees. NOAA, FEMA, and the park service for example.

I confess, I just had a lengthy "conversation" with Co-pilot about AGI and the future of humanity, and it was more interesting than any conversation I've had with a human in years. The one weakness of BlueSky and most other social media is the lack of lengthy discussions, the exchange of ideas.
