Nope. I think that’s a big part of the price. Everyone in town uses them and they’re connected to the power co that has a monopoly here

Next option is some company an 1 & 1/2 away but they’re not allowed to touch any of the power stuff, so the electric co would have to come and charge us for that 😃

Typical cost for the system we wanted and our size home is $10-15k
Idk what the heck they were charging for. They didn’t do an itemized estimate. Anyway… we’re sticking with our goofy portable unit. Yay

winter. So we decided to get a quote for an actual heating/cooling system to replace our Walmart unit, and the estimate came back $30,000 😂
Our house is 1,050 sqft… that is insane. A $570 monthly payment for 5 years they said. My guy, I will buy another car and live in it for that price.

Electricity prices have been going

and with winter coming, we need heat… the house got to 40° regularly last winter. We have a portable heat/cooling unit that is our only source of heat/cooling but it’s gets kinda costly. It raised our electric bill about $100/month last

We will (hopefully) continue to learn as humans, but I don’t think we’ll ever reach complete understanding of the universe and that in and of itself is greater than any one of us. It is supernatural in that it goes beyond our understanding of the natural world.
