This breaks my heart. Mr. Anthony Jackson’s influence in modern music across genres, decades, places cannot be overstated. His body of work is monumental, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is his music on one of my favorite Chaka Khan songs ever, Move Me No Mountain. RIP👑💔🕊️

D’Angelo’s performance of “Really Love” on SNL some years back lives in my head rent free. But so does his Prince tribute. When he broke down in the middle of playing I lost it. Prince meant everything to D’Angelo and what a gift to be alive when they both were making music.
