if it didn’t have all the thinly veiled innuendo, wood might have been one of my favorite songs. like the 70s vibe and the concept of giving up superstitions and wishing on a star bc you found your person is so good. but using dickmatized in a song gives me the ick 😭

I get the “eldest daughter” and “youngest child” lines but it’s not the core theme of the song. I like it being about all the things we say we don’t like just to fit in, hiding our true selves (closeting), the title just gave me different expectations

yea the implications of that in the title track 😭

toward the end taylor also ends a line with “bouquet” after sabrina ends with “pretty and witty” - so adding in something that rhymes with “gay” instead of saying it outright
